There is a direct relationship for students between physical activity and a sedentary lifestyle; however, the unflattering reality is supported by their passive participation in physical education and sports classes for various objective or subjective reasons, which impacts their overall posture. Therefore, the aim of the research was to determine the posture of a selected group of pubescent female students who did not participate in physical education and sports classes, and subsequently to improve the quality of their posture through a movement intervention, which was the reason for their exemption from physical education and sports classes. The sample consisted of 113 pubescent female students exempted from physical education and sports classes, who participated in an intervention movement program focusing on the addressed issue. In terms of data collection methods, a standardized aspect method was applied for the monitored area. The results indicate positive and significant (χ2 p<0.05%) findings regarding the quality of overall posture, as well as individual areas in the students, which demonstrates the importance and essence of implementing the mentioned health-oriented program with the intention of promoting proper posture within the school environment.Downloads
