World Leisure Day

Abstract

Department of Preschool and Elementary Pedagogy represented by Assoc. PaedDr. R. Rozim, PhD., PhD student Mgr. D. Židek together with the students of the 1st year of the Master's degree programme Teaching for Primary Education and in cooperation with the Department of Physical Education and Sport of the Faculty of Education of KU in Ružomberok, represented by prof. PaedDr. E. Bendíková, PhD., (World Ambassador of FIEPS, WLO) under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy PaedDr. Peter Krška, PhD., organized on 16 April 2025 for the pupils of the Klačno Primary School, Ružomberok and the Okoličianska Primary School with Kindergarten in Liptovsky Mikulas workshops on the occasion of the World Leisure Time Day and the World Health Day. The above activities enjoyed great interest from both students and teachers, who were full of interesting theoretical knowledge transformed into school practice - "Theory in practice". Thanks go to the principal of the Kľačno Elementary School in Ružomberok, PaedDr. Mojmír Šrobár, the representative of the Okoličianska Elementary School in Liptovský Mikuláš, PaedDr. Andrej Glončák, Mgr. Ľubica Berkyová and Mgr. Alexandra Kovalčíková, the management of the Ján Bakoss Elementary School and Kindergarten in Banská Bystrica, as well as all participants and interested parties who participated in the event with a direct global dimension, directly streamed, with the participation of countries such as India, Thailand, and Austria, among others.
