Abstract

This present study deals with the Czech and Slovak translations of one of the most important playwrights of the Golden Age: Tirso de Molina. In addition to presenting the works in both languages and mentioning the translators who allowed the reception of Tirso’s work, we will try to explain the historical context in which they emerged and the reasons why these plays were translated.
