The aim of our research was to investigate the differences in the coordination abilities of girls of younger school age engaged in synchronized swimming and gymnastics at the competitive level. The research sample consisted of 22 girls aged 7-10 years. Modified diagnostic tests of coordination abilities were used to find out the level of coordination abilities. Mann Whitney U-test and Pearson's coefficient of variation were used to detect the significance of differences. The group of synchronized swimmers performed better than the gymnasts in the tests of spatial-orientation ability, in the test of dynamic balance and in the test of endurance in standing on one leg. However, the differences between the groups of young girls were not statistically significant. Our findings contributed to the improvement of the sports training of the research young girl participants.Downloads
