La littérature comme témoignage sociologique et culturel en temps de crise sanitaire
Abstrakt
The coronavirus crisis that appeared at the beginning of 2020 seems to belong to the famous “Black Swan” mentioned in the book by Nassim Taleb (The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable, 2007). The history of the humanity has been marked by other epidemics, such as the Spanish flu at the beginning of the 20th century, or the great black plague which severely affected and marked Europe in the 14th century (BONIFACE, Géopolitique du Covid-19, 2020). Many stories like that of Albert Camus, "La Peste" recount these events which plunged humanity into confusion, denial, panic, disarray or even a feeling of helplessness. It is therefore through literature and more particularly around Albert Camus’ novel, the Plague, that we will be able to measure the rational perception and faith of the population currently facing the pandemic.
