Gender Violence: Translation and Teaching of Spanish and Italian Laws
Abstract
The subject of this article is the teaching of legal Spanish and its translation, the corpus of which is constituted by the Spanish and Italian laws on gender-based violence. In terms of objectives, it is essential to be able to demonstrate that through the legal translation of these laws it is possible to teach the characteristics of legal language, not only at a lexical and morphosyntactic level, but also at a cultural level. Thanks to this type of language, students can understand and fix many concepts in this field; at the same time, the elaboration of a small glossary offers them the possibility of enriching their knowledge.
