Abstract

The aim of this article is to examine the selected terms from the field of general psychology in Slovak and Spanish. We base our research on the study titled Towards a rigorous delimitation of Czech terminology in general psychology by Ondřej Bezdíček where the author studies the differences in meaning, reference and usage of the general psychology terms and considers that clarity of general psychology terminology is needed. Based on the same theory as the above mentioned study, we aim to examine the selected general psychology terms, find their Slovak and Spanish equivalents if possible, and also analyze their usage and clarity in both languages. At the end of the article, we summarize the observed differences in Slovak and Spanish terminology.
