Abstract

The aim of this article is to describe the current state of Slovak translations of works of medieval Italian literature from its beginnings to Petrarch, reflecting in particular their diversity in the case where there are several translations of the same text (as far as the phenomenon of multiple translation is concerned) and to present the perspectives of new translations and new interpretive approaches that are currently applied in the translation process.
