Zur Frage des Ursprunges der altslawischen Zeremonie"der Sonne nach" (Posoloň)
Abstract
The essence of the archaic Slavic ritual act, which the Eastern Slavs called posoloň and the Southern Slavs oposun, naoposlen, consisted in the fact that the ritual act was directed in the direction of the imaginary path of the sun.
The meaning and origin of this ceremony is clarified by its parallel with the ceremony that is practiced in Hinduism, Buddhism and Lamaism and is known under the name Pradakšina.
The presented material allows at least a hypothetical conclusion that the Slavic aposun, naoposlen is a significant remnant of the past Indo-Aryan unity.
