Zur Frage der Forschung von Hirtenlieder in der Slowakei und ihre Stelle in der Region Mitteleuropas
Abstract
Our comparative interethnic study of shepherd songs will focus primarily on material from neighboring nations: Polish, Czech, Moravian, Hungarian, and to some extent Ruthenian. In the first part of this article, we will provide a very brief outline of the character of shepherd songs in Slovakia in the context of the Slovak folk song repertoire as a whole; in the following parts, we will define the genre of shepherd songs; and finally, we will focus on their geographical location in the interethnic context of Slovakia.
