Abstract

The contamination of Christian and pagan elements in folk tradition is a well-known fact. It is not necessary to list here the numerous works on this subject; it is enough to mention the famous book by J. G. Frazer, "The Golden Bough," where several pages are devoted to this dualism, this fusion of Christianity and paganism, which characterizes the folk mentality.
