Abstract

The article emphasizes a fundamental problem of all scientific research and its dissemination – cognitive objectivity. The example of the reception of Slavic folklore in the United States, proposed by N. Kononenko in the monograph Slavic Folklore: A Handbook, is very illustrative in this regard.
