Abstract

The study of emotions has become a thriving pursuit among western historians focused on various periods and areas. They have established several approaches, shifting from cognitive and social constructionist position (originating in the research of Carol and Peter Stearns, 1985) to a more recent direction known as “the bodily turn” (Rosenwein & Cristiani, 2018). This paper serves as an introduction to theoretical background of emotional history and application of its features within critical discourse analysis.
