Abstract

The Centre was established with the purpose of meeting the aims of the government Conception for the Care of Traditional Folk Culture of the National Edification Centre in 2008 and given the name “Coordination Centre for Traditional Folk Culture”. Following a decision by the Ministry of Culture in April 2010, it came under the administration of the Slovak State Traditional Dance Company and in 2013 its name was changed to the “Slovak Intangible Cultural Heritage Centre” (CTĽK).
