Sacred images on the wall traditions and generations
Abstract
In the case study below, the author aims to show how ethnography allows to encounter tradition in its living form; meeting and greeting cultural customs on a personal and professional level. Our analysis revolves around a vignette of 80-year-old Aunt Anna, who lives in a village in southern Transylvania, Romania. This village, boasting a majority Romanian and minority Hungarian population, is where her story begins and ends; namely, within the domestic sphere.
