En torno a la recepción de la obra de Santa Teresa de Ávila en Eslovaquia
Abstrakt
This study presents the reception of the personality and work of Saint Teresa of Ávila in the Slovak cultural milieu over the four centuries since her death, with references to intermediary European cultures. We have divided the reception of Teresian works into three distinct periods. The first period, during the Baroque era, traces the dissemination of her works not only within Slovak territory but also across several other countries. The second period, beginning with the Slovak national revival and continuing through the following centuries, focuses on the presence of her works in academic and noble libraries. Finally, we examine both Slovak and Czech receptions of her work over the last century.
