Abstrakt

This article constitutes a segment derived from my thesis, centered on the investigation of language acquisition dynamics among Czech students (focusing on English, Russian, French, Spanish, and German). It involves an extensive analysis of statistical studies by region encompassing language learning trends from 2005 to 2023. Additionally, it scrutinizes the intricate web of Czech language policies from the Ministry of Education and their impact on the language preferences among learners. Of primary interest is the examination of the phenomenon of cultural transfer, particularly instigated by French institutional initiatives, and its profound influence on the acquisition preferences of Czech students. This exploration aims to dissect the mechanisms and impact of cultural transfer strategies implemented by French institutions in the Czech Republic’s linguistic educational landscape, shedding light on their efficacy in shaping preferences for the acquisition.
