Wurzeln und Änderungender Architekturtradition Artikularer Holzkirchen
Abstract
Looking at the transmission of the architectural principles of the central space in various wooden buildings, we observe certain shifts in values over time. In various European cultural environments, these principles have developed into distinct characteristics that have reached their peak, and the Slovak region joins them as an area marked by significant cultural and historical influence. These peaks include the buildings (including interiors and exteriors) preserved in Svätý Kríž (the church in Paludža), Hronsek, Kežmarok, Istebne and Leština. At the same time, they embody the legacy of pan-European civilized thinking, the creative social environment of which is found only in a few places on our continent.
