Abstract

The publication contains seven selected and partially adapted studies by Mgr. Z. Profantová, CSc., a researcher at the Institute of Ethnology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. The first three studies are more theoretically focused, although they are based on the analysis of specific material on Slovak paremias. Four articles analyze proverbs on a thematic basis and use various methods of approach.
